The short answers first.

Write anything in

The box on every screen takes plain English, such as "dentist Tuesday 9am". Tabitha works out the date and where it belongs. If it cannot read a date, it files the entry on today and tells you.

Nothing is filed until you say so

Anything that arrives without a date waits under "Waiting to be placed" until you have time for it. It is not lost and it is not late.

If a change did not save

Tabitha says so, keeps what you typed, and shows a Try again button. Nothing is overwritten quietly.

Taking something back

Things you remove go to the Bin for 7 days. Open Settings, then The bin, to put them back.
